Annual Travel Insurance

This is an insurance that makes sense to opt for if you travel frequently in a year. All of us would like to think that we are the fortunate ones and absolutely nothing can go wrong while
travelling. But everyone knows that some time or the other we  may also be in such a situation. Hence, it is wise to be preparedfor a worst case scenario rather that repent later on by thinking, “I should have listened to my travel agent and got the travel insurance policy, which s/he insisted.” No one wants to be caught in a catch 22 situation. But what happens if you experience it this time. Your medical bills can soar if you happen to fall ill or meet with an accident in an unknown place. If you need to return urgently to your home town, you will have to forgo the rest of your trip, and then what happens about the investments that you have made? Does all your hard earned money go down the drain? If you have been wise enough and got yourself travel insurance, then the thought of leaving your trip mid-way won’t be as painful as it would have been without travel insurance. Imagine all your travel expenses gone in waste just because you thought travel insurance is not that important. Well, don’t make the same mistake twice; buy travel insurance before you go on your next trip.

Comprehensive Travel Insurance Policies…

Trip interruptions, trip cancellations, loss or theft of money, credit cards, travel documents, medical emergencies, loss, theft or delay of baggage, and trip delay due to terrorist threats are some of the things that are covered by most of the travel insurance policies. These are instances that one can’t avoid but can definitely be reimbursed for them if they happen to be in such circumstances.

Annual Travel Insurance Policy Options…

  • Family Insurance: The combination of insurance policies for families or couples is cheaper as the costs can be more for ‘per trip’ than ‘per person.’
  • Gap Year Travel Insurance: This is also known as backpackers’ insurance or long-stay insurance policies. These policies generally cover from three to eighteen months, and working overseas.
  • Winter Sports Insurance: This is generally an option but if you are keen on skiing or snowboarding, then this policy is a must. While buying don’t just go for the cheapest policy but ensure that the policy in question covers all your needs like search and rescue, equipments, and different sports just to name a few.
  • Over 65s Insurance: As the name suggests, this policy is for people above the age of 65 years and the cost of the policies depend on the age group that you fall under.
  • Pre-existing Conditions: If you are suffering from a serious medical ailment or have already suffered in the past, then these policies are for you. But be careful as they can be very expensive as the cost of medical treatments abroad is expensive.
